Basic Audiometry Course

Decos Audiology offers various courses in the field of audiometry. In addition to specific courses for our users and application administrators, Decos also offers a basic Audiometry course. This course is exclusively offered in the Netherlands.

This course is suitable for audiometry personnel, who wish to increase their expertise. After following this course, participants are able to perform audiometric tests efficiently and correctly.

The following subjects are reviewed during the course:

• The test results to be expected for certain diseases, such as Ménière's disease, otitis media, otosclerosis, tinnitus and recruitment
• Assessing whether a measurement is reliable or unreliable
• Recognizing when a patient is simulating or aggravating
• Overhearing, masking and overmasking
