Visual Reinforcement Audiometry

The Visual Reinforcement Audiometry module offers an advanced reward system for sound field hearing tests for children. 

 

This test is usually performed with a sound field setup with two speakers and two reward screens, located on the right and left side of the patient. When the child looks in the direction of the speaker that played the stimulus, a reward can be played on the monitor. You can even add a third reward screen to the set up, to draw the patients' attention back to the middle, after a reward is played.

Use any chosen image or film

 

The screens can display any image and film imaginable. In addition, you can easily add new images and films to the software, so that you can always use up-to-date and appealing material.

The latest version of the Decos VRA-test offers you even more appealing reward material. When performing this test, you can now reward the patients with films or images of Dora, SpongeBob and other popular Nickelodeon-characters. You can thus not only make use of rewards that correspond with the child's age and gender, you can also keep abreast of the latest trends.   

 

 

Flexible settings

You can play any preferrable stimulus, including Live Speech. The VRA test can be performed in sound field, but also in air or bone conduction. You can save the measurement results both in Audiogram mode as in Reactogram mode. This enables you to plot multiple thresholds with each frequency and also show the measured responses in a tabular format.
