During the Alternate Binaural Loudness Balancing Test or Fowler test a tone is alternately played back to the left and the right ear. The patient must indicate when the left and right tones sound similarly loud. All measurement information is clearly graphically displayed in a ladder diagram in Decos Audiology.

The Tone Decay module is an adaptation test. With the Decos Tone Decay Test, it is possible to determine to what degree a tone remains audible for the patient if offered over a longer length of time. The period over which the patient was able to hear the tone is displayed in a clear overview.

Decos Audiology offers the advanced QuickSIN® Speech-in-Noise Test, that quickly and easily measures the ability to hear in noise. With this module, a one minute estimate of SNR loss can be provided. You will also be able to determine if extended high frequency emphasis improves or degrades understanding of speech in noise.

The Decos AudioPlayer module offers you the opportunity to use your own audio material when presenting stimuli. You can play back audio files over the headphones, bone conductor or sound field speakers. Input and output of the two available channels can be specified separately. The available stimuli are pure tone, warble, pulse, narrow band noise, white noise or audio files.

With the VCV-module you are able to test the observance of vowels and consonants under different conditions. Non-existing words are played, while several background noises are played at the same time. You can conduct the measurement in medial consonant mode, in initial consonant mode or in medial vowel mode.
