Speech Audiometry

With the Speech Audiometry module you are able to present pre-recorded word lists to quickly assess the patient's speech reception. The stimuli can be offered to each ear at various intensities. If desired, the ear not being measured can be masked. The Speech Audiometry test can be performed in both audiogram and tabular mode.  

Integrated speechs lists

All speech lists are integrated into the system, meaning that you need never change CDs, search for a particular track or recalibrate. A fixed pause between the words is also a thing of the past with the integrated speech list. After the score is entered, Decos Audiology automatically presents a new word, significantly reducing the time involved in testing. The software automatically calculates the final score and provides the opportunity to play back wordlists randomly.

Easy automated settings 

Thanks to the flexible suggestions presented by the software, your measurements will be more efficient. Decos Audiology bases the start value in the Speech Audiometry on the results of the earlier Tone Audiogram. The software automatically calculates the final score and offers the option of randomly presenting the word lists. 

Masking can also be switched automatically, for example after presenting a pre-defined number of word lists. You can also indicate your required masking source as audio wave file for every speech list. This means you can easily configure a speech list to use speech masking noise, use a babble masking noise or have no masking signal with binaural speech tests. Furthermore, Decos also supports the use of masking during a Live Speech measurement.
