Partners Decos Audiology

The Decos Technology Group works together with respected partners to guarantee the product satisfies all needs. Our most important partners in the field of audiology are the PACT and Etymotic Research.

 

PACT

The PACT is a cooperative affiliation of nearly all Audiological Centers in the Netherlands. PACT stands for Platform for Audiological Clinical Testing. The PACT strives to contribute to improving audiological care in the Netherlands by means of practical research based on scientific methods and literature studies.

 

The PACT foundation currently has 17 member Audiological Centers. All centers are affiliated with the FENAC, the Federation of Audiological Centers in the Netherlands.

 

The FENAC recommends that its members use Decos Audiology. An excerpt from the FENAC board’s recommendations on the acquisition of measuring equipment:

 

“The Decos system offers the greatest flexibility as a development platform for tests on behalf of advanced patient care and scientific research. This is because of the possibilities the Decos API offers and the manufacturer’s configuration. Based on what is currently available, the minimal differences in purchase prices and various interviews with Decos and Interacoustics, the PACT board has selected the Decos system.”

 

Decos supports the FENAC-PACT development community. By using the same hardware, the development efforts within the various audiological centers can easily synergize.

 

Decos participates in this development community in the following ways: 

 

• Modules developed by PACT are freely available to all members; 
• Based on consultation with the FENAC users group, Decos maintains the software and expands it based on user wishes. Updates are made freely available to users as part of the maintenance agreement.

 

Etymotic Research

Etymotic Research, Inc. is a research & development and manufacturing corporation in Illinois. It develops products for testing, improving and protecting hearing. Etymotic Research has developed a few of the most innovative technologies currently being used in the market. Etymotic Research has developed the QuickSIN-test, which is available as a seperate module in Decos Audiology.
